I've been spending quite a bit of time outdoors, enjoying the relatively mild summer weather we've been havin in South Florida. The acre around my house offers up a myriad of distractions, ensuring I almost never finish the chore or task I originally set out to do.Gardening has become a genuine habit, which is more than I can say for most of my pastimes.

Pompoko

Sad day. Poor little guy was out during the day, looking dazed.
The next night he appeared to be in a drunken stupor. Animal control was called. Little pompoko was taken away.

And in case you were wondering....
Pompoko is probably the strangest movie you will ever watch involving raccoons.

Things found outside

This big cuban tree frog is my buddy.
He sits outside our window at night and sleeps under the grass during the day. An invasive species, cuban tree frogs can resort to eating other frogs. However, I usually only see him eating palmetto bugs, so he is welcome to stay.

This little guy freaks me out.
